Refuel With Chocolate Milk Offers Local Athletes Grants

Team RefuelThe National Milk Mustache “got milk?” Campaign is looking for athletes like you to join Team Refuel. From speed skater Apolo Ohno to top sports nutritionist Ruth Carey, the elite athletes, coaches and trainers of Team Refuel know refueling with lowfat chocolate milk is a delicious and effective way to refuel your body after a hard workout.

Starting this month, adult athletes, athletic organizations, and coaches who refuel with chocolate milk can apply for a shot at joining athletes like  Shawn Johnson, Chris Bosh and Dara Torres on Team Refuel and receive a $250 Individual Athlete Refuel Grant or a $500 Athletic Group Refuel Grant.

All you have to do is log on to www.RefuelWithChocolateMilk.com to enter for FREE.  Entries are accepted the 1st-15th of each month. The Campaign is awarding 10 grants each month to individuals and groups who rally the most friends,  family and fans to vote for them.

The 2-Hour Recovery Window
Refueling and replenishing your body after strenuous exercise with fluids, electrolytes and the right mix of carbs and protein is key to helping it recover, especially when another race, game or workout is less than 24 hours away. Research shows there’s a two-hour recovery window when the real work begins – refueling, building and repairing muscles.
